AllClear protective coating – FREE SAMPLE for readers

AllClear® is a high performance stay-clean coating that invisibly protects glass and other surfaces such as granite and ceramics.  It is now available for home application in a new Surface Protection System kit and Lakes Bathrooms are giving away free sample sachets so you can try it for yourself.

The coating gives up to six months protection and makes treated surfaces easier to clean and more hygienic by repelling water, limescale, dirt and soap scum.  It has already caused a stir in the bathroom market and there are many other potential applications around the home.  Granite worktops, windows and glass doors, bathroom tiles and ceramics can all be treated to keep an as-new appearance.   

The ‘Swift’ sample gives one square metre of coating coverage and comes as a treated wipe, sealed in a sachet.  Application is as simple as wiping the sample over your clean surface.  The coating then forms a super-strong bond with the surface and makes an ultra-smooth invisible layer around 80,000 times thinner than human hair.  On the treated surface water and other liquids will move like mercury and residues will be avoided.

The technology behind AllClear is at a molecular level and hence only a small amount of the product is needed for a complete treatment.  Under a microscope surfaces like glass are shown to be rough and pitted, a ‘moonscape’ where dirt and deposits can cling.  The coating permanently bonds to this uneven surface and creates an ultra-smooth layer, acting like an invisible, non-stick coating. 

The AllClear Surface Protection System comes in a kit contained in a sturdy plastic tub and retails online for £29.79.  It includes a jar of surface restorer and abrasive pad for pre-application cleaning, a nylon buffer and microfibre polishing cloth plus the all important AllClear SWIFT™ coating in a spray.  Application takes only a few minutes and each Surface Protection System contains enough to provide approximately 16 square metres of coverage. 

The life of the coating depends on the usage of the treated surface and type of surface but according to Lakes Bathrooms, home application can provide up to six months protection.  To extend the lifespan of the coating, a reapplication is a simple way to revitalise.
