Lakes Bathrooms featured on C4’s The Home Show

Lakes Bathrooms have just appeared on Channel 4’s The Home Show, which went to air on Thursday 9th July 2009 at 8pm.  The programme featured a young couple, eager to renovate their mansion flat in London’s Maida Vale.  As part of the transformation Lakes Bathrooms supplied a Romano shower enclosure from the Elegance range in their Italia Collection.

The Home Show is presented by George Clarke, who had the task of turning Marek Sokali and Natalia Bould’s run down, top floor mansion flat and attic into a luxurious penthouse.  The old floorplan was impractical and cramped so George completely redesigned the layout of the flat, calling for a total budget of £150,000 for the ‘high end’ finish hoped for by the owners.

The one hour programme showed the whole process from redesign, through demolition and redevelopment.  The final result is a spacious, well planned apartment over two floors that fulfils the brief of stylish, open-plan, practical living.

The Romano 700 x 700 enclosure supplied by Lakes Bathrooms is shown in the main bathroom, where it fits perfectly to make the most of the available space.  The look and feel of the room is ‘boutique hotel’ in calm, neutral tones and the glass of the Romano helps to reflect the natural light in the room.

The Home Show programme concludes with the couple returning to their ‘new’ mansion block penthouse and shows their escalating delight with their transformed home.  They are clearly overwhelmed with the result and say that they can’t wait to move back in.
