Supplier of the Year Award for Lakes Bathrooms

Leading independent home retailer Gardiner Haskins has awarded Lakes Bathrooms ‘Bathroom Supplier of the Year’ for 2009. The award was presented to Lakes’ sales director Robin Craddock by Gardiner Haskins’ director Andy Webb at the end of the year.

Based in Bristol and Cirencester, with two major outlets, Gardiner Haskins is the biggest independent homecentre in the south west region. The company was founded in 1823 and has a range of specialist departments for the home including bathroom, lighting, bedrooms and furniture. With over 35,000 product lines, the business has built its success on providing choice, best pricing and value.   Gardiner Haskins has been a customer of Lakes Bathrooms for seven years and in that time has built its shower enclosure and bath screen business with the manufacturer. The retailer is now the largest independent customer of Lakes Bathrooms in the region and its showrooms display the entire range of products in the Classic Collection. These include the stay-clean coating AllClear®, introduced by Lakes in 2008 as a value adding element of the range.   Explaining the selection of Lakes Bathrooms for this accolade, Andy Webb commented, “Our choice was based on the complete package that Lakes Bathrooms offer, not one specific factor. We very much value the speed of delivery – usually next day – and their large UK stock holding means that we can supply our customers quickly and efficiently across the range without needing to hold onerous levels of products at our stores. The before and after sales service we receive from Lakes, is the final element in a complete package of support.” Lakes Bathrooms are unsurprisingly delighted to receive the award: “The best vote of confidence you can have is recognition from your valued customer,” enthused Robin Craddock. “Gardiner Haskins is a family firm and shares our ethos of delivering a high standard that keeps driving business forward. We are very pleased to work with them and hugely proud of this supplier award.”
